Nobody has an extra hour before work anymore. That’s the honest reason a lot of people have quietly dropped the “go to the gym every morning” plan and replaced it with something smaller: five minutes, right by the bed, before coffee even happens.
It’s usually just stretching, a few slow breaths, maybe a short walk around the block. Nothing that needs a gym bag or a shower after. The point isn’t to build muscle โ it’s to feel human before the day starts pulling you in six directions.
What’s kept it going, for a lot of people, is how low the bar is. A missed gym session used to feel like failure. A missed five-minute stretch barely registers, so it’s easier to just… keep doing it. Small and boring, in this case, might be the whole secret.
