Carnival Cruise Line has notified booked guests that it’s adjusting the itineraries for roughly 14 Mexican Riviera sailings aboard the Carnival Panorama, with changes rolling out between now and early 2027.
What’s actually changing
No ports are being dropped from any itinerary. Instead, Carnival is adjusting departure and return times from Long Beach, along with the order and duration of port visits to Mazatlรกn, La Paz, and Cabo San Lucas. On several late-2026 sailings, the ship will now depart Long Beach at 3:30 p.m. instead of 5:00 p.m., while some 2027 departures shift the other way, leaving an hour later than originally planned.
Which sailings are affected
Guests on the August 9, 15, and 23, and September 6, 13, and 20, 2026 departures are seeing updated Long Beach departure times and adjusted Cabo San Lucas port hours. Several November 2026 and early 2027 sailings will also return to Long Beach later than originally scheduled โ some arriving back at 10:00 a.m. instead of 9:00 a.m.
What guests need to do
Carnival says pre-booked shore excursions through the cruise line will be automatically adjusted to match the new port times, so no action is needed there. Guests who booked their own independent excursions, however, should double check timing and reschedule if needed once the updated itinerary posts to their booking. Anyone with flights or other travel plans right after the cruise should also confirm the new return time, since a later arrival back in Long Beach could affect same-day connections.
Carnival says updated details are posted to guests’ individual bookings within 24 hours of the change being announced, so anyone sailing on an affected date should check their reservation directly rather than relying on the original booking confirmation.
