Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson delivered one of the most dominant performances of the NFL season, rushing for five touchdowns as the Falcons routed the New Orleans Saints 45-24 in Monday Night Football.
Robinson opened the scoring with a 59-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and kept finding the end zone throughout the night, finishing with 207 rushing yards on 33 carries. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. also connected with Jack Dotson for a 31-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to cap Atlanta’s offensive outburst.
New Orleans fought back behind running back Alvin Kamara, who scored twice, and quarterback Tyler Shough, who found the end zone late in the fourth quarter. But the Saints’ defense couldn’t contain Robinson, who racked up 422 total yards of offense for Atlanta as a team.
The win moves the Falcons forward as they head into their next matchup, while the Saints will look to regroup heading into Week 6.
